Professor Sir Tim Garden, March 14th, 2004. Garden is a former air marshal and works at the Centre for Defence Studies at King's College London and at Indiana University. Since retiring from the RAF, he has been closely involved in developing foreign and security policy for the Liberal Democrats and is the party's Defence spokesman in the Lords. The Liberal Democrats opposed the war in Iraq.
