Hiroshima - Was it right to drop the bomb? (10 Points)
On August 6, 1945, the US bomber Enola Gay dropped a uranium atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. About 140,000 people were killed in the blast and the after-effects, which included radiation poisoning and cancers.
Was the USA justified in doing this? Was it right?

I think it was really wrong for the U.S.A to drop the atomic bomb on the innocent Japonese people.

Atomic Bomb
I think that the Americans dropped the bomb for a stupid reason. They asked the Japanese if they surrendered they would stop, knowing that Japan would answer no. Further more, the Americans instead of spending the money they built to build the bomb to show the world how strong and clever they are, they could’ve spent that money to rebuild their country and to find cures for diseases.
The other reason why I think it was wrong is because the Americans used the Japanese as rats on innocent people. They weren’t even soldiers. If it was their family, they would feel devastated and very much destroyed. As you can see the pilot and the rest of the crew and are happy to be getting away but if they are dead they would be as devastated as the Japanese were when their families died.
The other reason why I don’t know is because that the Japanese dropped a bomb in Pearl Harbor so that the Americans would get them back for what they did as well. While the Japanese were doing wrong in trying to control the rest of Asia, America shouldn’t have exaggerated as much as they did.

Why did the Americans know that the Japanese would refuse to their surrender terms? (Bonus point for this answer)
G
Because they are trained not to surrender and after America took them over they requested that they take their Emperor out of power. They loved their Emperor like a god and would not give up even if they were threatened to be killed.

The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuclear attacks during world war2 against the the empire of Japan by the united states of America under US President Harry S Truman. On August 6, 1945, the nuclear weapon Little Boy was dropped on the city of Hiroshima, followed on August 9, 1945 by the detonation of the Fat Man nuclear bomb over Nagasaki. They were the only instances of the use of nuclear weapons in warfare.
My opinion his that not right . I think they done rung was to drop the bomb in a city full of innocent people but the right think they America could save that money to give to poor country's or to keep for then to do thinks on their country.

I think it was wrong because under the circumstances Japan was vulnerable and they had no right to drop the atomic bomb with such devastating damage on Hiroshima. It targeted innocent people and was created only for revenge and selfishness.
While Japan were wrong in attacking Pearl Harbor, it was evil of America to retaliate in such a brutal way.

In the beginning Japanese were winning the war such as they unexpectedly bombed the Pearl Harbor and destroyed hundreds of American aircrafts. They got rid of British from Malaysia and Singapore. They believed Asia should be ruled by the Asian. The American believed that Japan will never surrender. They also have spent lot of money on research and development of bomb and felt not using the bomb might make American angry and think it was a waste of money and thought America will be the only country in the world who posses this technology. Turning point cam at the famous battle of the Coral and battle of Midway American lost ships but destroyed Japanese aircrafts.
Having listen to arguments it was still not right to bomb Japan, killing thousands of innocents people just because American want to be seen a super power and they want to demonstrate to the Russians and Germans. They are no match to the American.
Japan could not have continued war with American (and allies) because they were having shortage of food and Japanese will die. In my opinion bombing of Japan was unjustifiable

My view of the Atomic bomb being drop by the Americans onto Japan was not a good idea because the outcome was a terrible one. Over 80,000 civilians died from the explosion that had happen on 8:15 am on 6th of August 1945. Then other people died from the radiation of the bomb but the Japanese still didn’t surrender and on 9 August 1945 the Americans drop a next bomb on a different city called Nagasaki, killing 40,000 Japanese. But for the Americans it was a good idea to do that to show that they were not playing.
The American scientists that built it had spent millions of dollars to build the atomic bomb that had brought disaster to Japan. And on the second blast the Soviet Union entered the war against Japan. The Emperor of Japan broadcast on 15 August 1945 that Japan had surrender from the war because he no other choice. This stunned the Japanese knowing that they didn’t want to surrender.
The terms of the surrender were accepted on the USS Missouri on 2nd of September 1945.
After the devastation it had shocked the world and all the survivors of the second blast would never forget that day. And the name Hiroshima would always live on for people to remember the day America drop an atomic bomb it even went in the Daily Express newspaper ‘The Bomb That Has Changed The World’.
They had also given a name to the plane that was carrying the bomb, Enola Gay. The city of Hiroshima had no warning for what they had coming. The blast had a bright light and the tremendous heat from the fire just destroyed everything.

The dropping of the first A-bomb
The atom bomb was first used in anger agents Japan in 1945on the city of Hiroshima
When the bomb was dropped I sparked a lot of controversy some people say that it was a bad thing but think about it would of killed millions of people if it was not dropped the allies would of lost lodes of men the japans civilians would of committed suicide in the name of there Emperor so when the allies invade Japan the japans people would do baize charges that killing themselves and the allied soldiers in the process. but some people say why don’t they drop the bomb on a uninhabited island but the japans may say that the American’s forged the film in a letter to president tromer they seed that it will kill men woman and children all around the explosion and even after the bomb went off the bomb would leave a new kind of passion a poison that will stay there for decades a poison that will kill people slowly and painful they where talking about radiation poisoning. Before the bomb was doped the Americans before they dropped the bomb on Hiroshima they send a ultimatum demanding unconditional surrender some peel say they did this because they now that the Japanese who’d not agree with this.

Was it right to drop the Hiroshima bomb?
Was it right to drop the bomb, to me personally i would definitely say no since so many innocent lives were taken. On August 6, 1945 the nuclear weapon Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima by the crew of the American Enola Gay, directly killing an estimated 80,000 people and completely destroying approximately 69% of the city's buildings. They approximately made sure that over 60,000 people died a slow and painful death due to severe injuries from radiation poisoning.
The United States Of America chose to make the Hiroshima bomb so that they could put an immediate end to the war. The bomb was dropped with a desire to SAVE LIVES.
It is a matter of math. How many Americans lost their lives fighting how many Japanese at Tarawa, Iwo Jima, Okinawa. The mathematical formula showed the closer America got to Japan the more we lost. Now, calculate how many Japanese military people were still in Japan. Add to that figure the fact that women were being trained to fight. Before you say the women would not fight please remember that many women on Okinawa committed suicide fearing all the stories they were told about what the Americans would do to them if they surrendered.
However the Americans thought they where clever since by showing what they were capable of other countries would think twice about trying to invade the US. As well as they knew they would have an opportunity to show their power since they were aware that Japan's Emperor would never surrender fully.
This amounted to mass destruction:

atomic bomb on hiroshima
some how i think it was right for the americans to drop it. But they could have just drop a simple bomb and not an atomic bomb. Because it claimed innocent lives. But the Japanesse started it all which claimed their own people's lives.
