What if the Germans had defeated the RAF in the Battle of Britain, and then invaded in the autumn of 1940? What would have happened to Britain? How would things have changed?
This is a tricky question, but here are some hints:
What was life like for the French, Dutch and Norwegians when Germany occupied their countries in 1940?
What was Hitler's attitude towards the English people? Did it differ from his attitude towards Poles and Russians?
A small part of the British Isles was occupied for over four years. The Germans took over Jersey, Guernsey and the Channel Islands. What was life like for the British people living under German occupation?
What was Hitler's long-term ambitions and plans for Europe and the World?
Word Target: 500 words maximum.
